Krásná hora | Pinot Gris

Winemaker Notes

Loess soil, partly organic/ biodynamic farming. Three types of clones from 10-20-year-old vines. Harvested in the beginning and end of September. Each harvest had 12 hours maceration, then pressing. 80% fermented in stainless steel and 20% in oak.  Ageing 8 months on lees.

Tasting Notes

Brilliant, mid lemon green followed by a wonderfully expressive bouquet of white flowers and citrus fruits with just a touch of vanilla and nuts. The palate shows the classic cool-climate acidity which gives the wine its backbone and which prepares the palate for eating with its mouth-watering acidity. This wine shows green apple along with white peach. The beautiful acidity harmonizes with just a touch of creaminess on the finish to give this wine a very pleasant persistence.

Suggested Pairings

Terrific with seafood and pasta dishes, vegetarian food, and chicken (fried, roasted, grilled). Serve between 50-54 degrees Fahrenheit. This wine can be kept for 3-5 years.
