Volařík | Welschriesling Terroir Ořechová hora

Winemaker Notes

The grapes were hand harvested and carefully selected in the third week of October.  Gentle pressing was followed by 48 hours of maceration.  The wine was fermented at a controlled temperature of 15 degrees Celsius and bâtonnage was gently performed for 8 months.  The wine was then aged in the bottle for at least 6 months.

Tasting Notes

The wine displays the color of linden honey with light golden reflections.  On the nose the Welschriesling from Ořechová hora presents a typical aroma of walnut leaves, which in the 2016 vintage was complemented with a significant minerality.

Suggested Pairings

This wine is dying to be drunk with a grilled turkey or duck with some sautéed vegetables. Or enjoy it with a flavorful mushroom dish. This wine should be served at between 55‐59 degrees Fahrenheit and can be stored for 6‐8 years.
