Krásná hora | Ryzlink rýnský 2015
The grapes for this wine were from three different clones between two vineyards and harvested at three separate times from the middle of September until the end of October. Fermented in steel tanks, the wine saw 9 months of battonage, then blended into the final product.
Brilliant lemon color with hints of green, the nose expresses a pronounced bouquet of grapefruit and jasmine, with a hint of wet stone. Dry and crisp, this wine is a perfect representation of what is capable in the Moravia region of the Czech Republic. Racy, mouthwatering acidity gives freshness and liveliness to this elegantly structured wine which has a fantastically long after-taste.
Riesling is one of the most versatile wines for food paring. This style of Riesling is delicious on its own, or would pair well with oysters and other shellfish or fresh fish like snapper or halibut with either a fresh chutney or tomatillo, or cream or butter sauce. It would also be lovely with a host of salads, savory crepes, quiches and light pasta dishes.
